My Baby Steps Journey – Week 10

My Progress Report

This week I felt that I fell off the wagon and burned it a few times.  There are days when things are easy and days when it is not so easy.  This was not my best week but along a long-term journey there will be slip ups and hiccups along the way.  This week was a little hiccup for me in the big picture.

My Progress for the 10th week:

Water Intake —- C

  • I found myself thinking about the water intake but then having a couple of hours of good intake then hours of zero intake.   Consistency needs to improve! Focus Lora Focus!!!
  • GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK– focus on drinking more water!

No unhealthy snacking after 7:00pm—- D-

  • I had a mixture of good days and bad days.  Some evening were simple and easy; others not so much.
  • GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK – See how many nights I can be successful!

Increasing Steps — A

  • DAILY STEP PROGRESS
    • Friday, June 18 – over my daily goal!!! +29 steps!!!!!
    • Saturday, June 19 over my daily goal! +31 steps!!!
    • Sunday, June 20 – over my daily goal!!!! +2764steps!!!
    • Monday, June 21 – UNDER my daily goal!! -874 steps!!! (only one day under!!)
    • Tuesday, June 22 – over my daily goa!! +699 steps!!!!!
    • Wednesday, June 23 – over my daily goal!! +676 steps!!!!
    • Thursday, June 24 – over my daily goal!! +1625 steps!!!!
  • Step wise I kept on task this week for 6 of 7 days; that is excellent in my book! I had one day with over 11k steps for the day.   I seem to be getting one day of over 10k steps each week.   I normally have a few days that I stretch to reach my step goal still each week.
  • GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK – keep up the good work!  Try to meet my step goal 7 days out of 7

Portion Sizes — C

  • I had a few slip ups and went over my daily points goal.  But trying to track EVERYTHING is becoming easier again as I am acknowledging it not as a failure to go over my daily points allowance but as input in the big picture.

NEW GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK: To improve as much as I can in all areas.

Positive Experiences/Outcomes for the week

My work finally is going to start being more normal again.  I will start working 8 hour shifts the days I am in the office each week.  I have the work set goal of returning to the office full time 5 days a week starting July 26 which will give me something to further work toward on getting my eating back into a more consistent healthy path.

A very personal non-scale  victory for me this past week is that I noticed my underwear are starting to fit better.  Yay!!!

I took a day off from work on the 25th and went shopping again.  It felt so good to get out and about again.  I will have to build up my shopping endurance again!

Positive Experiences/Outcomes for the week

Had my first two handshakes since the pandemic began. It is feeling more normal! My employer is allowing those who qualify to do a “hybrid” work model; meaning 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. I appreciate their flexibility but not sure how the transition back is going to go. Dreaming of a real vacation later this year!

The Tampa Bay Lightning are playing in the semi-finals and moving closer to the Stanley Cup – GO BOLTS!

Baby Steps Journey – Week 7

Progress Reports

Hard to believe I am already into this six weeks! I feel better about myself. Still not happy with my clothing fit but I know that will take time to improve. I am looking forward to getting back to the office on a full time and joining the gym again. I know that will help as long as I can get the food intake under control too.

My Progress for the 7th week:

Water Intake —- A

  • I did better than last week but still have room for a lot of improvement!
  • GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK– drinking lots of water!

No unhealthy snacking after 7:00pm—- A-

  • I was successful 5 nights of 7 —–so there is still room for improvement!
  • GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK – See how many nights I can see success at 7:00pm! See if I an make it 6 nights or more! I did choose to add the word “unhealthy” as I feel if I consume fruit it isn’t a bad thing and way better than cookies, chips, cakes, ice cream, etc. I feel I need to go for more healthy snacking if I must snack vs unhealthy.
